Congratulations to all our young people on an excellent set of Lamda results from our exams in May. We are extremely proud and impressed with the focus and hard work, and of course the talent, that these results reward. [...]
Fish’n’Whiskers Youth Theatre was founded by Barry O’Halpin in the summer of 2018 with the objective of providing quality teaching and theatrical experience for children and young people aged from 7 to 18. FnW is part of Little Seal Productions.
We meet every Saturday during term time between 10.00 and 15.00 during the production term at De Lijsterbes Community Centre in Kraainem, just outside Brussels where we have three age-specific groups, each led by our experienced and talented team members.
For the second term, the LAMDA* term, the sessions run between 09.30 and 17.00 during which students are present for around an hour each, in groups, as they prepare for LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts) examinations. Read More
What You Say About Fish’n’Whiskers
Both our children love being a part of the Fish’n’Whiskers (Little Seal) theatre group. The group leaders are organised and professional, providing a fun and safe environment for them to build confidence and develop new skills. Every effort is made to foster a sense of community and to learn the importance of cooperation. The children are lucky to have such positive and stimulating experiences.
When my girl goes off to theatre practice, I know she returns in a couple of hours wiser and more inspired, be it a bit tired and considerably hungry. At the performances — I rejoice for her, and I envy her.
Over the past year, I’ve learned a lot at Fish’n’Whiskers. I’ve been taught how create plays that are always great fun with a group of people that have become very dear to me.

[The Fish’n’Whiskers team members] are very attentive, and provide good communication so that, as a dad, you know what’s going on, what’s coming up and what needs to done to be ready. I can see from my son that he really enjoys the activities, feels a true sense of accomplishment and is truly learning some good skills. As an amateur actor myself, I can see that they’re on a solid base – they know what they’re doing.
Our daughter found her place in the group straight away and has been enjoying the sessions immensely. As parents, we appreciate the clear communication from Barry and of course we loved the show!
Drama is where we can open up and make a fool out ourselves, but good fools, having fun…!

Fish’n’Whiskers is a parents’ dream: a warm and welcoming – and very well managed – activity that allows children to have fun, exploring their limits and capacities, and growing in self-confidence and expression!
